The LLL Programme offers three flexible learning formats:

  • Live Courses
  • Webinars
Each format awards 4 CME credits per topic upon successful completion of the final quiz or test. Accumulated credits contribute toward eligibility for the ESPEN Diploma in Clinical Nutrition.

2.1 Online Courses

Online courses are self-paced and include:

  • Access to educational modules
  • Clinical case overview

  • Grading quizzes
To earn CME credits, participants must complete the grading quizzes. A certificate of completion is available upon request for a fee of €30.

Live courses are a mandatory component of the LLL Programme. Each course covers one topic through four modules delivered in a 4-hour session, including:

  • Expert-led lectures
  • Clinical case discussions
  • A final test
Live courses are held during the ESPEN Annual Congress and by national PEN societies. Participants must register on the LLL website and complete the relevant online modules before attending.

Webinars follow the same structure as live courses. A final test is conducted via the Safe Exam Browser (SEB). Participants receive access to credentials and instructions from the course director. Like live courses, webinars provide 4 CME credits per topic.
